Amber Scott was one of the smartest tributes to ever set foot in the arena.  A lot have outsmarted the capitol but hers was the cleverest way imaginable. At the cornucopia Amber faked her own death. Before she went she had learnt how to make her heart stop for a few seconds to fool the game makers.

She ‘died’ at the cornucopia so nobody would question how she had died. Then she was simply lifted into the hovercraft and somehow escaped back to district three.  Most of her district knew what she had done but nobody wanted to tell because most of them were amazed by what she had done.
